Kenya’s Red Cross said it had treated 93 injured people in election-related unrest in Nairobi and Nyanza. This, after Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga had refused to concede defeat and said the whole vote had been rigged.

According to a rights group at least 24 people have been killed, including a girl in Mathare, a Nairobi Slum. The Election Commission on Friday declared President Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of the Presidential poll.

And the international observers said tuesday’s vote was largely fair and a parallel tally by domestic monitors supported the outcome.
